Head Start

Head Start is a Federal funded program that provides full day, part day, and home based programs with classes during the traditional school year. We have classrooms in Indio, La Quinta, and Palm Desert.

Head Start is committed to the inclusion of all children in all classrooms by offering over-income waivers* and reserving 10 percent of its enrollment to children with disabilities.*

Over-income waivers limited to 10 percent of total program enrollment and the child must have a current Individualized Education Program (IEP) for Head Start.

This Federally funded project provides an extensive school-year preschool program for children three and four years of age.  Family’s income must meet Federal poverty level.

Head Start full-day classes are provided to families who work or attend training/college full-time and meet the Federal income requirements.

Head Start home based is a weekly session for parents with no transportation or with younger children who need social/emotional support.
